Presented here is a raw jadeite stone from Itoigawa, the national stone of Japan.
Natural jadeite typically forms a weathered outer layer, but once cut, it often displays exquisite internal colors. This specimen has been cut and polished on one side only, allowing you to enjoy the contrast between the raw exterior and the vibrant interior.
Whether displayed as a traditional "Suiseki" to bring a sense of Wabi-sabi to your home or used as high-quality material for making beads and jewelry, this stone offers versatile appeal.
Specimens of this ideal display size are becoming harder to find. We hope you enjoy this unique piece of Japan.
